For implementing CGC requirement of safety production for overseas projects and prevention of fire, enhancing the employees’ awareness of fire safety, mastering the common sense of fire fighting and improving self-help ability when a fire occurs, on August 22 Project Execution Unit(PEU) of CGC South Asia (First) Branch for Khulna Water Supply Project(KWSP), Bangladesh launched a drill about escape, evacuation, use of fire fighting devices and fire extinguishment.
To organize the fire drill successfully, the branch attached great importance to it and made elaborate arrangements, PEU made the drill plan carefully. The drill process consists of several stages which are fire accident report after occurrence, emergency response, emergency evacuation, fire suppression and fire extinguishment by fire fighting devices, etc. After the drill completed, the branch leaders had made conclusion, recognized the necessity of this activity and made detail demand on future works of fire safety.
Through this fire drill, most employees became further aware of fire safety, mastered escape route and measures after fire accident occurred, and had ability of fire emergency response and fire fighting skills improved, comprehensive response ability to sudden accidents was therefore enhanced.
