CGC President and secretary of CCP CGC Committee Mr. Hao Jingye, CGC Vice-President Mr. Hu Jianxin and CGC Chief Accountant Mr. Gu Xiaojun, companied by President of CGC Pakistan Regional Company, Mr. Qin Yong, visited Bangladesh and took an intensive special research on Khulna Water Supply Project executed by Bangladesh Office of CGC Pakistan Regional Company, Bangladeshi clay brick market and relevant real estate market from December 9 to 14, 2014,
With such a short schedule of a few days and a journey of total thousands of kilometers, the corporation leaders worked from dawn to dusk, put themselves out of the way and overcame the difficulties of Bangladeshi traffic jams to survey the construction site of base camp of Project Execution Unit for Khulna Water Supply Project, Bangladesh and the associate pipeline laying area, one semi-mechanized annular kiln brickyard belong to one Bangladeshi local company and two large-scale residential communities in Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh. And the corporation leaders graciously met with Managing Director, Project Director, Project Manager and other officers of Khulna Water Supply and Sewerage Authority(KWASA).

During the survey, the corporation leaders heard a report by President Assistant as well as Project Manger of CGC Pakistan Regional Company, Mr. Wang Jiangang, regarding current situation of Construction of Clear Water Transmission Mains and River Crossing and Construction of Distribution Pipe Network in Project Execution Unit(PEU) of Khulna Water Supply Project, and a special report by President of CGC Pakistan Regional Company, Mr. Qin Yong, regarding the overall works of CGC Pakistan Regional Company in Bangladesh Office in Dhaka. After hearing the report by PEU the corporation leaders expressed satisfaction toward the preparation works done by PEU, and meanwhile instructed PEU to consider more fully the difficulties to be arisen in the following works, to refine various construction methods and plans, to enhance detail management during execution, to emphasize the construction of localized management and to fulfill the social responsibility positively. And special instruction were made to the PEU to establish various completed management regulations and plans for safe production, and great importance must be attached to the safe production and transportation.
After hearing the report by CGC Pakistan Regional Company, the corporation leaders instructed CGC Pakistan Regional Company to pay great attention to Bangladeshi water conservancy market, to regard exploration and execution works of water conservancy projects as the main battlefield of marketing works, and to make elaborate preparation and overall plan with more consideration of difficulties and detail solution, and work together to achieve a well-grounded start for the current two projects of water supply pipeline with contracts signed. The corporation leaders emphasized that only success is allowed for the two water conservancy projects, and must establish the first-class brand of CGC water conservancy project execution through the successful performance of the abovementioned projects. CGC Pakistan Regional Company was required to emphasize on talent training, to enhance the construction of team work and to strengthen the unity of leaderships in the regional company and PEU to form resultant forces. The regional company and especially the Bangladesh Office shall seize the market opportunity and seek for greater development by combining The Belt and Road Initiative proposed by Chinese government, especially for the development of projects with Chinese government concessional loan and preferential buyer’s credit. For the mechanized tunnel kiln brickyard in Bangladesh, the corporation leaders instructed to expedite the progress of all works so as to commence the construction of the first two mechanized brickyards as soon as possible, to fully consider the problems, difficulties and risks in all aspects and to positively and stably construct and operate the two brickyards so as to gain experience for construction and operation for the following brickyards. Meanwhile the corporation leaders instructed to fully survey the Bangladeshi real estate market like the tax policy, land policy, real estate prices, value-added situation of land and real estate, etc., and to attempt to enter into the market with plan.
